Normal Training Sessions
For day-to-day training, swimmers should arrive poolside with the following:
- Swimwear
- Towel
- Goggles
- Water bottle (clearly labelled with the swimmer’s name)
- Snorkel
- Fins / flippers
Swimmers are welcome to bring their own float and pull buoy if they have them, however these can also be borrowed from the club if needed.
Race Days & Competitions
For race days and swimming competitions, swimmers are advised to bring a few extra items to help them stay comfortable and prepared throughout the day:
- Swimwear / race suit (if they have one)
- Spare goggles
- Spare swim hats
- Extra towels
- Water bottle
- Own food and snacks (Please ensure all food is nut-free)
Competitions can often last several hours, so having spare kit, dry towels and suitable food helps swimmers stay warm, fuelled and ready to race.
Lost Property
If a swimmer misplaces any kit, lost items may be handed in to reception at Carlton Forum.
From time to time, photos of lost property may also be posted on the Carlton Forum Swimming Club Facebook page to help reunite items with their owners. We recommend parents and swimmers follow the club’s Facebook page, as this is often the quickest way to spot missing kit.
To help avoid items being lost, we strongly encourage all swimmers to label their kit clearly with their name and lock all possessions brought to training in the lockers provided.
