Small Pool Teaching

For children who are aged 5 to 9 years, courses of 12 weekly lessons are held.
Classes are held at:

These sessions take place in the small pool at Carlton Forum, which is 10 metres long.

Fees are £2.85 per session payable in advance for organised blocks. Pam Attenborough is the coordinator of the programme, and for more information, or to arrange a trial, she can be contacted on (0115) 9873274.

As their ability and confidence increases the swimmers move from Carlton Forum to Victoria Leisure Centre. When they can swim 3 strokes competently (Frontcrawl, Backstroke and Breaststroke) they can be invited to become full members of the club and start training with the development squad.

The teaching programme run by the club is very popular, and currently has about 70 children being taught by the dedicated qualified volunteers.
