We charge a small fee of £6.00 per gala (£3.00 for 8 year old 25m races) which goes towards the pool hire costs.

This year the process of entering the championships has changed. Invitations will be sent out by email using our new SwimClub Manager app in the next week or so. Once you have entered races you will be sent an invoice with a link to enable you to pay online to make paying easier. However in exceptional circumstances you will still be able to pay by cash at the club desk. Please make sure you have a login in and have checked your details on SwimClub Manager! If you still need a login please email Martin at secretary@cfsc.co.uk or Kathryn at treasurer@cfsc.co.uk with yours and your swimmers names. All entries need selecting and paying for by Wednesday 15th May at the latest.

We also have invitation races for the children having lessons on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. These races are one length of freestyle and the swimmers will be invited to swim by their teacher at their teachers discretion depending on ability. As a general rule these young swimmers will be in the last Tuesday and Thursday or the Monday lessons. The invitation race is free to enter.

Following the club championships we hold a presentation evening with disco in September to celebrate the swimmers achievements. All those who take part in the championships will receive an award on the night. We will be selling tickets nearer the time however it will be free for under 5s and club champs swimmers.

Paying Funds Direct into the Club Account

Please can members NOT transfer any money into the club account without prior arrangement for payments such as weekly swim fees, club kit and the 125 club.

The only time payments should be made into the account is when the option has been offered for example monthly standing orders, batch swimming lessons, membership and club champs etc. Other payments such as open meets can be made in exceptional circumstances however prior arrangement must be made with the treasurer first.

It is now becoming very time consuming trying to keep track, registering and balancing the unexpected payments.

Thank you for your cooperation, Kathryn – Treasurer

Club Code of Conduct for Swimmers

Please can all swimmers refresh themselves with the code of conduct either they or their parent/guardian have signed to on their behalf.

Code of Conduct for Swimmers

As a Club we will not tolerate disrespectful behaviour towards coaches and other swimmers.

Disruptive (including regularly arriving late) and unruly behaviour whether in or out of the pool including outside the leisure centre will also not be tolerated.

If a swimmer behaves in this manner we will have no alternative but to restrict certain sessions and ask parents to stay and monitor the sessions they attend.

Can we also remind swimmers of the day to day rules that MUST be followed:-

  1. Treat your coach and fellow swimmers with respect.
  2. Make your coach aware if you have difficulties in attending training sessions as laid down for your squad.
  3. Arrive in good time on poolside before the training session starts to complete poolside warm up as directed by your coach.
  4. If you arrive late report to your coach before entering the pool.
  5. Ensure you have all your equipment with you, i.e. hats, goggles fins etc.
  6. If you need to leave the pool for any reason during training inform your coach before doing so.
  7. Listen to what your coach is telling you at all times and obey instructions given.
  8. Always swim to the wall as you do in a race, and practice turns as instructed.
  9. Do not stop and stand in the lane, or obstruct others from completing their training.
  10. Do not pull on the ropes as this may injure other swimmers.
  11. Do not skip lengths or sets – you are only cheating yourself.

Lets keep CFSC a happy and fun club for ALL our members whether swimming or volunteering.

Thank you – The Executive Committee
