Club Overview

Carlton Forum Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club based at Carlton Forum Leisure Centre.
The club offers a full range of tuition and coaching for the beginner through to the advanced swimmer.

Beginners

Weekly lessons for children who are either beginners or improvers; 5 to 9 years old, in courses of 8  lessons.
Classes are held at:
CARLTON FORUM: Mondays 7.00-8.00pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 7.00-7.40pm, 7.40-8.20pm or 8.20-9.00pm

Development

Once a child can swim 3 strokes confidently they will have the opportunity to move up to the Development sessions.
Newcomers are welcome to attend for a trial. Please click here to apply for a trial.
Training sessions are held at:
CARLTON FORUM:
Tuesdays 7.00 – 8.00pm
Wednesdays 5.00 – 6.00pm
Thursdays 7.00 – 8.00pm
Sundays 8.00 – 9.00pm
As these swimmers improve in their ability and stamina they can advance through the Development sessions and move up to the Carlton Forum Swimming Club Squad at the Chief Coaches discretion. Development swimmers are urged to do multiple weekly sessions under our multi-swim scheme – this will help the swimmer move through to squad more quickly with increased training.
Swimmers from the age of 9 years are expected to represent the Club in competitive galas, as well as having the opportunity to swim in the Clubs Championships, which are held on a yearly basis.

Monday 7.00 – 8.00pm (by invitation only)
Tuesdays 8.00 – 9.00pm
Wednesdays 5.00 – 6.00pm
Thursdays 8.00 – 9.00pm
Fridays 8.00 – 9.00pm
Sundays 8.00 – 9.00pm

These swimmers have reached a competent standard in all strokes and are improving their technique and fitness. They regularly represent our club in competitions. They have the opportunity to train 6 times per week. It is expected that the Squad swimmers will attend at least 3 training sessions per week. Newcomers are welcome to attend for a trial.
