Some of our Club swimmers just want to swim regularly for fitness, but don’t want the commitment of competing – this is fine and it’s what we do well. We have loads of swimmers of different abilities who just want to keep fit and have fun.
If they want to, Club swimmers can work to improve in their ability and stamina to move up to our Squad at the Chief Coach’s discretion. Club swimmers are urged to do multiple weekly sessions under our multi-swim scheme – this will help the swimmer move through to squad more quickly with increased training.
Swimmers from the age of 9 years might be asked to represent the Club in competitive galas, as everyone has the opportunity to swim in the Club Championships, which are held every year around June.
